Group Disability

Group disability is many times written in connection with group health benefits but can be written stand-alone. If your company were looking to start a benefit program or expand the current level of benefits, this would be an opportunity to design a customized program at a reasonable cost to the employer.

Group disability is generally written short term (either 13 weeks or 26 weeks) at a benefit level of either a flat amount for each employee per week or as a percentage of income with a maximum amount per week.

The long term disability can be custom designed to add to the plan and can be paid for by the employer or occasionally by the employee.
